LinkedIn Publishing Dashboard
for Excel // snapshot of your publishing activity
LinkedIn Pulse is a great publishing platform. Anyone with a profile can write an article and publish it directly on LinkedIn. There are thousands of article published each day – and each is immediately available for anyone on LinkedIn to view, share and comment. And once published, LinkedIn in gives you analysis of each of those articles – who’s viewed, liked, commented and shared them. x
What they don’t give you is a single and simple dashboard to view ALL your publishing activity. That’s why I created the LinkedIn Publishing Dashboard – to give you a single and simple snapshot of all your articles.
The Dashboard
This simple dashboard provides a single page of your publishing activity. Including:
– the number of articles published
– breakdown of articles per year
– total Views, Likes, and Comments across all articles
– average Views, Likes and Comments across all articles
– engagement: Likes to Views, Comments to Views, Comments to Likes
– and a breakdown of your best and worst performing articles side-by-side
The Summary
This single page view provides you with a quick reference to all your articles. Including:
– A graphic representation of your published articles per month
– Which days of the week you have published
– along with a reference point in graphical form of monthly engagement
The Monthly View
This view provides a quick monthly reference per year for your articles. Including:
– A graphic representation of your Views, Likes & Comments per month
– Engagement level per month
– Both data (the numbers) and an associated graph. The graph can be changed or edited based upon your preferences.
The LinkedIn Publishing Dashboard is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. I provide you with instructions on how to quickly “scrape” the data from LinkedIn and copy it. Once the data is copied into Excel, the dashboard and summary are immediately updated – you can view or print to PDF.
Also included:
– a Pivot table that can be copied and used to do further analysis of your publishing data
– all the icon graphics used, in multiple colors, allowing you to change the color scheme
– instructions on how to create the “scrape” of data
The Dashboard is created to a single snapshot of your articles and their activity right now. It does not include historical data, which is available on individual articles through LinkedIn, which I highly recommend you take the time to review the analysis provided by LinkedIn for each individual article. This Dashboard is intended to provide a broader picture of your publishing activity, from your first article to your latest.
